We tested using the Drag and Drop modal editor for announcing Surfline’s new ecommerce store to users on web and app.
The modal itself was simple, but proved to our team that we could use the editor to create modals that were on-brand without having to use HTML editor. The modal itself was successful, driving the most traffic to our shop of any marketing channel.
The Drag and Drop editor is overall a very intuitive experience. The biggest piece of advice when creating a new modal with the editor is to start from the top down:
- Set up the global formatting (container style, fonts, colors, etc.) before adding blocks
- Format Rows themselves before starting the formatting of the blocks inside the rows -- there are many places where you can tweak spacing and alignment, so starting from the foundational blocks (Rows) makes the process easier to follow and edit as needed.
