Braze Geofences Feature
Hi Allan, I have had some great experiences with the geofence features. Depending on your style of business or app you can be super innovative with your geofencing. Having it has a trigger is great aslong as they have locations turned on "always", or when they open the app with locations on " only in app" they will then recieve the trigger, so it can depend on your user base. I have done numerus campaigns and tests with the geofencing and seems to be incredibly accurate.
Example use cases I have seen and achieved could be language differences for different cities for example the french speaking part in canada ( quite a large geofence, but had a small user base so worked well ). Used it for small localized shops to get an in-app message informing them about a shop new by and the specials.
But the most innovatative way we have used it was creating a geofence in the region of a popular music festival that a lot of target audience and user personas attending. Simply putting the geofence over this festival for 2 days had fantastic results. This ideology could be used for sports games/art festivals/ conventions all depending on your user base.

Malcolm Thanks so much for this feedback! This is super helpful, and I may have more follow up questions in the future.

Hi Malcolm,
Do you know what types of messages they sent to the music festival goers?
Thanks, Dustin- Malcolm6 months agoPractitioner
We used it for push notifications and In-app messages. But you can use a geofence for most channels in the Braze dashboard.

Using it for language borders or fencing an event are genius ideas. 👏
