Question #2 on testing for BlaBlaCar - Test and Learn AMA

Guendalina when it comes to reporting and attribution, do you use Braze to evaluate campaign and flow performance or do you rely on some of the powerful Braze integrations with analytics platforms like Looker, Amplitude, etc?

We've done both, for different use cases, but I've always found it better to use integrations and apply an attribution model that weighs all marketing channels appropriately (paid media included).

The Braze Looker Blocks, specifically, were a huge help at an early-stage startup where analytics resources were limited.

  • At BlaBlaCar we have dedicated analytics resources that help us monitoring the performances of programs and campaigns (and thanks to currents we are able to export data in Tableau, the data visualization tool we use in the company). We also monitor programs performances directly in Braze thanks to conversion events (to check uplift in conversions).

Braze does have tools for reporting and attribution, but in my experience many enterprise customers do get deeper analytics with the use of Currents and Snowflake. There are some specific engagement metrics accessible via currents that are not accessible via engagement reports in Braze. To Guendalina 's point, it's really common for customers to use visualization tools like Tableau using currents data.
