How to measure channel engagement and effectiveness
Hi all, I am new to braze therefore posing these questions out there. The support hitherto has been phenomenal. We are planning a cross sell initiative to our energy customers and our customer engagement strategy is go omnichannel via email, sms and push. We are thinking to design this journey using a single canvas in Braze. In this instance how do we measure channel effectiveness (for each channel) or in other words attribute conversions to each channel? By doing a journey in a single canvas can we gather the following insights? for example: Engagement by channel: Email : 40% Click Through Rate (CTR ); Push : 30% CTR and SMS : 5% CTR Conversion by channel: Email : 15% Conversion Rate (CR); Push : 2% CR and SMS : 20% CR Or is there a better way to measure channel effectiveness (engagement driving conversion story) in the above context? I'm looking to hear from someone who records the origin of all their Braze users and how best to do this. Do you use a custom attribute? If not, what do you use? Or do you record it outside of Braze? We’re looking for the best way to identify where each user in our database originated from and how they entered our database. For example: A conference or industry event Created manually by one of our staff in our CRM Our product user database - businesses add their employees to provide them with access to our product, which then syncs to Braze Free product trial sign up Social media e.g. YouTube, Facebook, etc. Ad campaign etc This is part of but different to attribution - we're also currently working on a multi-touch attribution dashboard covering all touchpoints with various attribution data models. Guendalinawhen it comes to reporting and attribution, do you use Braze to evaluate campaign and flow performance or do you rely on some of the powerful Braze integrations with analytics platforms like Looker, Amplitude, etc? We've done both, for different use cases, but I've always found it better to use integrations and apply an attribution model that weighs all marketing channels appropriately (paid media included). Hi! I'm working on migrating data from one braze instance to another and I have some questions regarding best practices that I haven't been able to find in any braze documentation. Is there a QA template or checklist for testing after a data migration or a new integration with another platform? What would be the best practice?
